About Us
| The NAFTA Intermodal Transportation
Institute is a joint effort between Dowling
College and the University of Texas at
El Paso. The mission of the Institute is to provide objective intermodal
transportation information, analysis, and solutions on a responsive basis
to the private sector, border communities, trade officials, and also to
local, state and federal policy makers. The Institute serves as an international
resource to improve the effective implementation of NAFTA, thereby maximizing
its potential benefits to the nation.
The goal of the the NAFTA Intermodal Transportation Institute is to accelerate the development and application of intermodal transportation solutions to North American cross border trade issues. The Institute will enhance the competitiveness of the U.S. by contributing to the development of intermodal transportation systems that promote increased trade flow throughout North America and the Americas.
